Hard Rock Bet Rolls Out Phase Two of Ontario Campaign
Hard Rock Bet is now in phase two of its "Hard Rock Bet is Here" campaign in Ontario. The push pairs sportsbook and casino marketing with Toronto culture, and it's been built with a local agency rather than shipped in from elsewhere.
Memory, based in Toronto, developed the work. It launched September 4, 2026 and runs on television, streaming, radio, digital, social, out-of-home, owned and performance channels. There are physical placements too, at The Well, Union Station and Sankofa Square.
The creative centres on short films about a recurring group of friends who watch sports together. Local humour, rituals and banter carry the spots instead of generic betting imagery. Toronto hip-hop artists k-os and Saukrates appear in the campaign.
Lauren Varnas is Hard Rock Digital's VP of brand marketing. She said being local has to go deeper than an end card or a nod to a team. Sports fandom in the province has its own personality and shared experiences, she said, and the brand still owes players the entertainment, product and trust they expect from Hard Rock.
Memory co-founder and chief creative officer Ian Mackenzie put it another way. Localization, he said, has to be felt rather than stated. Bringing in k-os and Saukrates, and leaning on the specifics of Toronto sports fandom, is what makes Hard Rock Bet feel like it belongs here.
Ryan Bullock, the agency's chief business officer, called the campaign a chance to reach different audiences. "It all has to add up to one unmistakable Hard Rock Bet," he said.
The brand isn't new to Ontario. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa has been running in the province since 2025, so the online sportsbook launch builds on a presence that's already there. A Toronto office, a local team and 24/7 customer support sit behind the Ontario operation.
