Play’n GO Chases Bigfoot With New Slot Stompin’ Gold
The Bigfoot legend remains unproven, but Play’n GO has its own theory. Its new slot, Stompin’ Gold, casts the creature not as one beast but as two tricksters. Biggie and Boogie spend their days confounding photographers, and the game leans into that mischief with a 96.2% RTP and very high volatility.
Five reels, three rows, and 20 paylines hold the action. Above them stands Jack Tracker, a young photographer desperate for proof. He shifts position with every spin, camera ready. What he doesn’t know is that the two hairy brothers treat the whole thing as hide-and-seek, popping up behind him when certain symbols land.
Collectibles include tents, backpacks, cameras, thermoses, and the Bigfoot brothers themselves. When Biggie and Boogie show up, they can randomly hand multipliers to Wild symbols, up to 100x. There’s also an Expanding Wild that fills an entire reel. Mystery Symbols, shaped like bushes, transform into other symbols once a spin ends. Bounty Coins add another wrinkle: regular ones pay up to 5x, Special Bounty Coins up to 1000x, and some hide inside the Mystery Symbols.
The centerpiece is the Hold’n Grow feature. It triggers by landing four or more Bounty Coins, or through the special GO Collect meter. If the meter does the job, players start with 1 to 3 Bounty Coins. The feature hands out 3 starting spins. Bounty Coins stick to the grid and reset the counter each time a new one lands. Hit certain milestones and the grid expands, opening bigger prize possibilities.
A subgame sits underneath. During Hold’n Grow, Bonus Bounty Coins can appear and launch the Hold’n Spin mini-feature on a smaller 3×3 grid. That one plays similarly: sticky coins, spin resets, and the whole thing ends when the grid fills or the spins dry up. Then it’s back to the main feature. With a max win of 50,000x the stake and bets from 0.10 to 100, Stompin’ Gold offers plenty for cryptid chasers.
Play’n GO has a record of mixing humor with solid mechanics, and this slot keeps that streak going. Whether Jack ever gets his photo is another matter. Players might just find their own jackpot in the woods, though.
